Taking in the account of the feedback I got from Open Studios, I decided to break the current Music Tiles into even more components. I decided to spilt the "Corner Design" and the "Frame Shape" component into half as I wanted to allow users to play 5 different beats concurrently at once. This is possible now because users can place 5 different colors into the frame simultaneously. I kept the center piece untouched because it's too small to be spilt into two. Other than this, I also modelled a small rod at each of the pieces so that users can grab it to move the tiles easily.

Pieces fit well
Reviewing the feedback which I have received from open studios, I decided to change a few things.
I adjusted the fonts I used and the background color of my interface to keep it consistent with my first prototype.
On top of adding the two new audio visualizations graphs for the 2 new components, I also changed their visuals to be more "wavy" and slightly more responsive.
The corresponding audio visualizations boxes also have the icon of the design and their names so users know what they are called, to facilitate their learning experience.
I am actually quite happy with how the prototype turned out at this current point! I do like the
tactility of the new physical interface. The pieces snap well into the new frame (largely because I
gave abit more margins) and it is also easy to use thanks to the rods. Visually, I feel that the
interface has became more cohesive with its counter part (language tiles). I could still spend time
to tweak it to make it stronger, but time is off the essence!
With these changes my
prototypes are done!!! It has been a long journey and tons of iterations, but it's worth it.
